At the Rubin Museum of Art today in New York City, Wim Hof, a 48 year old married Dutchman, broke the record. The record he broke today was his own. He was immersed in an ice bath for 1 hour and 12 minutes to set the record. Apparently Wim Hof is the only known non-Tibetan Yogi Monk who has mastered the technique of Tummo. Tummo is Tantric practice with allows for “Mind Over Matter” to be practiced. The practice allows for one to control the body’s “natural survival mode” instincts, and to divert heart and moderate their own body temperature through meditation.

It was roughly 32 degree Fahrenheit in New York City today during the start of the event, and his body temperature was in the normal 90′s. He stepped in to a 6 foot tall clear enclosure, and then ice (Arctic Glacier Ice, inc) good enough to drink was poured over his body until all of his body except for his head was immersed in ice. He shivered minimally only during the times the camera people broke his meditation by speaking to him, and ask him of how he was doing. For those of you who aren’t really interested in politics but found this title interesting, here is the scoop. She goes to New Hampshire, has a speech, tears up, can barely speak, and manages to grab a victory for the Democrats.

Ask yourself this; “Can I cry on demand?” I think certain people can definitely do this if they think of something that makes them sad or upset and think about it heavily.

The question you should be asking yourselves, “Is Hillary Clinton an actress in desperate attempts to win something under false pretense, or was she genuinely passionate about the subject which made her cry, or is she the type that cries to get what she wants?”

This is a tough question to answer. In all honesty, I want someone firm and tough in our presidential seat. I mean, what is she going to do, cry to congress to get things done? Cry to foreign leaders when the meeting of the minds don’t mesh well together? I would really like to know if she’s cried to get matters handled during her time in the senate. I would have had much more respect for her crying escapade if she were in the lead and cried about what she “feels so passionately about”. Crying while in the lead would make me not question her integrity and intentions.

Imagine you were playing a game of golf, football, basketball, rugby, hockey, or debating someone in college and they were losing. As soon as they acknowledged they were losing, they started crying. Do you think the fans would part with the real winners just because the loser is crying? I hope not. Not to sound biased, as I am not gender biased at all, but I would imagine some women may change their minds. It is not a secret that women are for the most part more emotional than men; not that it’s a bad thing. Nevertheless, there are times and places for everything. I do not believe politics is the place for crying.

What will the world think of the United States if this “crying” strategy? Will the United States seem vulnerable and weak as a country? I honestly do not know; however, I do think it is something we should all be thinking about when we go out and vote for our Party’s Primary Election, and eventually the President of the United States. I wonder what the international papers are saying about this? I wonder what Al-Qaeda is thinking about this.
