One of Hezbollah’s operatives, who apparently is responsible for more American deaths by acts of terror only second to Osama Bin Laden, was recently killed in a car bomb attack. Hezbollah has put the blame on Israel. We should all expect more hostility towards Israel as soon as the dust settles.
Imad Mughniyeh was killed today in Demascus, Syria in a car bomb attack. This attack was not spelled out by the United States (to the publics knowledge); however, they publicly applaud his death and mention, “It was long overdue”. Mughniyeh was responsible for orchestrating the attack on U.S. Marines in Beirut, which led to over 241 marines being killed, in 1983; an attache on a Jewish neighborhood in 1994 resulting in 84 deaths, the hijacked TWA flight in Beirut, Lebanon in 1985, the U.S. Cole, and possibly more.
The United States had a $5 million bounty on his head; he was also on the European Unions list of wanted terrorists.
