Activision and Infinity Ward confirm that new downloadable multiplayer maps are on the way this spring. In development for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, the upcoming downloadable content will thrust gamers into new combat zones across a variety of intense multiplayer locales.

Infinity Ward has made it official that some patches will also come along which will not kick all users from a game when a host leaves the match, kill cam for grenades, air-strikes, and bombs. In addition, there have been some complaints that shots with the ACOG scope were not registering, and Infinity Ward has taken those words ingest and will be making fixes for accuracy as well.

Maps will come from Single Player maps that did not make the cut, as well as genuine multiplayer maps that were not ready before launch time.

With all these features, COD4 improvements seem very promising.
