The Game

I don’t think the butterfly tat on the face will make him look too tough. Although he got it covered up with a bold "LA", anyone with half a hip-hop brain knows about it and will most likely try to beat him up, or navigate his canal. I know he’s a blood, but it’s not like The Game has that much clout or thugs behind him. If he did, I think he’d want to be in GenPop. It seems that all these rappers are going dumb shit to land themselves in jail. Maybe it’s a publicity stunt. Ever since they say how well TuPac did in sales after his mini bid. Or how many Shyne sells while in prison, or Slick Rick, or… The list goes on. -the surg3on

The Game is in the clink.

The "How We Do" hip-hopster reported to Los Angeles’ Twin Towers Correctional Facility Sunday night to begin serving a 60-day sentence after pleading no contest last month to whipping out a gun during a schoolyard pickup basketball game last February.

According to TMZ, The Game will do his time in the joint in an isolated cell segregated from the general prison population.

He is expected to serve only about half of his sentence and is currently slated to be released on Apr. 3, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department website.

The 28-year-old rap star (real name Jacyeon Terrell Taylor) was playing hoops at the Rita Walters Educational Learning Complex near his old Compton stomping grounds when he got into a spat with a member of the opposing team.

Per the police report, The Game punched his rival and then retrieved a pistol from his Cadillac Escalade and threatened to kill the man.

After an investigation of the matter, authorities took the emcee into custody in May and booked him on three felony charges: possession of a firearm in a school zone, making criminal threats and exhibiting a firearm in the presence of a peace officer.  In return for his no contest plea, prosecutors agreed to drop the latter two charges.

A rep for the tattooed performer was unavailable for comment.

Before he entered the pokey, The Game was busy working with Dr. Dre on his new album, LAX, set to drop in June 2008.
