Joe Budden – Remember The Titans

After listening to Joe Budden on JoeBuddenTV vent about his ranking, as well as challenging more then 50 of the other emcees on the list, I decided to take a look at the PDF myself. First and foremost, Joell Ortiz stays calm and collective in the whole video. I commend his professionalism. On the other hand, I’d side with Joe Budden regarding this list; Joe would DESTROY Method Man. Classic or not classic joints. In terms of rapping, Joe is much better than Method Man. Perhaps it was Vibe’s effort to pair rappers accordingly with respect to their style. I don’t know. I didn’t compile the list, nor do I know the author. I can tell you this much; of some of the rappers on the list, some of them have to go.

All I have to say is WOW. Word to my boy Phif for putting me on to Joe in the first place, literally three years ago and I’m just now starting to feel the kid. After listening to this, all I have to say is WOW. I’m not really sure what Saigon could say to respond to this. Anything he does say is automatically going to get the reaction, “dude, you already got killed Sai.” He said “How is he the Yardfather, when I’m the one picking out the grave”. Goddamn.

The blog universe has focused its attention on Ransom and Joe Budden. This formula seems to be overly used right around the time an album drops for an artist that is not getting the amount of buzz they think they deserve. I noticed some sites calling it a YouTube war, due to both of the artists having their own channel where they publish content. I remember back in the day when people took it to the streets, or popped of in clubs. I suppose in this evolution of species and music, people are now finding it out that it’s not worth dying over.

Personally I think both of the rappers are very weak. None of their rhymes I bump in the whip, or plan on bumping in the whip. Ask yourself, or better yet, ask me; name three songs by either of the artist. I look at my monitor with a blank stare fumbling through my mental library. None come to mind.

What I have to say to the blog world, “Who is Ransom? Who is Joe Budden?” Hiphopmusic.com feels that if one doesn’t know who these two guys are, then we should stop listening to hip hop. My response to that, “the durty version listens to good music. not bullshit”.

I been waiting for my boy Ortiz to get back into the battle rapping. Now Joe Budden? Not like Joe has the ammunition or firing power to step in the same ring with Joell Ortiz. Check the beast and the boy.

Look at Budden sitting in the executive chair like he’s the main capo and shit. Lol.

I feel you in a way though. FUCK NEW YORK! New York City has this attitude that it is too cool for anything. I wholeheartedly agree with you on that. I love it, and I hate it at the same time. Nevertheless, I think your issues are outside of just the New York attitude and are associated with your crowd changing. Give to the crowd, and they’ll give back to you. You can’t expect a crowd full of hard heads to be acting stupid because some guy is rapping on stage. Nobody does that anymore unless you attract the type of crowd that does that. Your raps do not have that audience. Either change your style, or change the venue location. Both afford a change of audience where you may have better success.

Eh. I am going back to my original position on Joe Budden. Not because Prodigy was talking a grip game about him, but mainly because of his skills, delivery, and tone. This is not a great song. Joe you gotta switch your style up. Maybe use an electronic voice or something. Bottom line, it’s not rocking.
